Reference Librarian Jeff Klapes is back for another of his popular armchair travel presentations. This time we'll visit Scotland's two biggest cities, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Learn about their rich history, amazing museums and incredible architecture. Jeff is the retired Head of Reference Services at the Lucius Beebe Memorial Library in Wakefield, Massachusetts, and an avid traveler and photographer.

Guitar Dept. Playing Over Chord Changes Workshop

Have you wanted to improve your ability to play solos quickly and smoothly on the guitar? In this workshop, Guitar & Contemporary Music Department Chair Aiden Schnell will teach participants the basics of playing over simple chord changes using chord shapes and the pentatonic scale.
Open to all guitar players ages 12+ with at least three years of lessons. Please bring your instrument!

Halloween Traditions in Boston with Anthony Sammarco

Anthony Sammarco will discuss the history of the Salem WitchcraA Trails which caused such tremendous anxiety and fear and the deaths of many innocent people in Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1692. He will also talk about the decorating of Beacon Hill as a veritable neighborhood of whimsy.
