Davidson Park Stream Restoration Update
Fall Flora Walk
A Fall Plant ID Nature walk at the farm and on Whipple Hill. We’ll focus on basic identification characteristics primarily looking at native species, including a plant Native Americans used to supposedly cure “craziness” as well as one they used to wash their hands, a few best identified using our noses, several that are edible and medicinal along with a few non-natives. And we’ll discuss specifics on native vs. non-native. Cost: $25/$20/$15 (tiered).
Farmers' Market Opening Day
Our 2025 season will start Saturday June 14 and ends October 25. We will be open every Saturday (rain or shine) 9:30am-1:30pm at the Winchester Common.
You will be able to purchase freshly picked fruits and vegetables, quality prepared foods, and baked delicacies. Your purchases support local agriculture and entrepreneurs. Get to know Winchester artists, organizations, and businesses while enjoying live music in the relaxing, family-friendly atmosphere of the Town Common.
Festival of Wreaths, Trees and Tablescapes
The tenth annual festival celebrates decorations for the holiday season. Admission is $25 and includes 10 tickets towards a raffle to win a holiday item of your choice. Light refreshments served, courtesy of Carole Kitchen & Bath Design.
First Public Meeting - Mystic Lakes Path Improvement Project
The Mystic River Watershed Association (MyRWA) is inviting members of the public a Public
Meeting on the Mystic Lakes Path Improvements Project, to be held on Tuesday, February
13 from 6-7:30pm at the Medford Public Library, Bonsignore Hall.
The meeting will introduce plans to advance the development of a 2-mile shared use path
along the Mystic Lakes, enhancing its quality, use, and ecological value. The goals of the
project are to improve safety and accessibility, enhance recreational experiences, improve
the ecological health of the Mystic Lakes, and promote active transportation within the

Earth Day at McCue Garden Center
Come learn about how you can help alleviate food insecurity in your neighborhood while repotting and take home a tomato plant.
Be part of a network of gardeners who grow vegetables in your yard or help others grow in their yards. Then we'll collect and donate what we grow to the Council of Social Concern and the En Ka Food Pantry. If you can't garden you can still contribute by sharing some of your lawn to turn into a garden.
Hike along the Mystic Lakes and Free Community Folk Concert
You are invited to join singer-songwriters Mark Mandeville & Raianne Richards on a free hike and community folk concert. Since 2010, Mark and Raianne have organized a grassroots bipedal trek annually to raise awareness of recreational greenspace throughout the state and create folk coffeehouse-style musical events in towns across Massachusetts. Sponsored by the Blackstone Valley Music & Performing Arts Collaborative and private donors, the 14th Annual Massachusetts Walking Tour is offering a public hike and free community concert, while walking with their backpacks and instruments through
MA Poor People's Campaign Assembly
On Saturday, March 2, we are holding coordinated state house assemblies in over 30 states, including at the State House in Boston. Our goal is to bring attention to the poverty in our midst, as well as other interrelated injustices. We hope to mobilize voters to participate in our democracy to bring about change toward justice for all and for the environment.
