Spherical Panoramas (a.k.a tiny planets or photospheres) are part of our everyday life, including street view in Google Maps, online realty listings and most recently the advent of Apple's Vision Pro virtual reality computer headset. Yet one application of this practice has proven to be especially attractive to artistic photographers around the world, the 2D stereographic projection commonly known as Tiny Planets.

When applied as an art form the 360º x 180º view of a location becomes a 2D square, circular or rectangular frame

We are honored to host a panel at the museum in Winchester on the controversial topic of Artificial Intelligence and how it intersects with creativity, critical thinking and navigating truth in visual imaging. As part of he programs supporting our exhibition Artificial Intelligence, we want to have a conversation on critical thinking in this time of widespread mis and disinformation. Join us for the final of three conversations with the winners of our 14th Annual Photobook Exhibition.

Juried by Karen Davis, Curator and Co-owner of Davis Orton Gallery, and Crista Dix, Executive Director of the Griffin Museum, the 14th Annual Photobook exhibition will showcase 48 books in our Griffin Gallery during the summer of 2024.
