Make a Felted Penguin

Come make a needle felted baby penguin with artist Jennifer McCarthy, owner of The Felted Bee. Grab a friend and learn the art of needle felting in a supportive and relaxing environment. In this beginner friendly workshop, you will learn skills and techniques specific to needle felting as well as how to make your own needle felted wool baby penguin.

Meditative Stitching Workshop

The act of hand-stitching can be very meditative. Join us for a creative and relaxing workshop in which participants will create a small, stitched piece. We will talk about different methods including traditional Japanese boro stitching which reflects a technique of reusing fabric and mending clothing, but has been elevated to a more decorative and sophisticated technique.

Meet the Animals of the Rainforest

Join Joy from Joys of Nature and learn about rainforest animals around the world. A wet, leafy habitat requires animals have special adaptations to survive. How do they find food and avoid predators in the forest? Do they climb? Do they change color? How do some species deal with extreme temperatures and other challenges? Come find out as you meet some rainforest animals up close, and learn more about about their wild relatives.
